How can you attract more customers to your business? This is a really interesting and constantly actual question for you as an entrepreneur. We cannot find an entrepreneur that doesn’t want to know the answer. Here I will cover some practical steps you can use to attract more customers to your small business.

However, even if you know the answer, you must be aware that the answer is something that can be classified into the variable category. It means that today’s answer may not be the same for the tomorrow.

An entrepreneur is a person that always search for new customers for the business.

A fisherman knows how to catch fish. He knows which tools he needs. He knows about weather conditions and everything that is necessary to catch more fishes. However, that’s fishing. The business is not so simple.

Let’s start with the first question.

What do you want to “catch”?

In business, you should first know what you want to catch. This means you need to know who your ideal customers are. Therefore, it is necessary to describe minimum the following terms related to your ideal customers:

  • Age
  • Sex
  • Employment
  • Revenue
  • Residence
  • Education
  • Marital status.

Where are they located?

Once you have a clear idea of what your customers are, the next thing that you must find out is where they are located. The following questions will help you detect their location:

  • Where are they going?
  • Where do they eat?
  • Where they drink coffee?
  • What type of social media do they use?
  • Which TV or radio they are watching or listening?
  • What sports do they like?

To attract more customers, you will need to find where they are located and learn what they are doing at those locations.

What attracts their attention?

You know who your potential customers are and know where they are located. Now you can go and be there where they are located and just listen and join the conversation. Listen, talk and at the same time note everything that you find attractive for their attention.

You can have the best business. You can have the best products and services. However, if potential customers have not heard from you, if you can’t attract their attention, they will not come and buy from your business. Not because they don’t like you, but because they don’t know you and recognize you.

So, if you want to attract more customers, you need to attract their attention first.

Here is how you can attract customers for your small business in 10 minutes daily and follow these tips to attract customers attention.

The next question is about tools.

What tools will you use to attract more customers?

You know who should be attracted, you know where they are, and you know how to attract their attention. Now it’s time to choose the tools that will help you in attracting their attention.

If they are on social media you will use exactly the same social media where they are present. If they are at the local bar you can make and distribute flyers that will explain to them how your business can help him. You can also use tools like Acquire to have a personalized and targeted communication with your customers.

The tools will depend on the answers to the previous questions. Make a list and start with the implementation.

For the purpose of this post here is a mind map that will lead you through the process of planning how to attract more customers to your business.
